International Chemistry Olympiad (ICO)

    International Chemistry Olympiad (ICO) is an international competitive exam that is offered by International Olympiad Examination Board. This exam is for the students of grade XI to grade XII. The main motive of the International Chemistry Olympiad to find scientific and researcher's talent of student. This exam is to empower young minds and help them to analyze their logical thinking, critical problem-solving skills and scientific ability.

The question paper consists of four parts:
  • Part-1: Scientific Thinking
  • Part-2: Chemistry Reasoning
  • Part-3: Real Life Chemical Science
  • Part-4: Previous Grade Section

Scientific Thinking : Series Completion and Inserting the Missing Character, Direction Sense Test, Alpha Numeric Sequence Puzzle, Logical Sequence of Words, Mathematical Operations, Mirror Images and Water Images, Embedded Figures, Figure Formation, Construction of Squares, Grouping of Identical Figures, Paper Folding and Paper Cutting.

Chemistry Reasoning : Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, Organic Chemistry, etc.

Grade XII
