International Physics Olympiad (IPO)
International Physics Olympiad (IPO) is an international competitive exam that is offered by International Olympiad Examination Board. This exam is for the students of grade XI to grade XII. The main motive of the International Physics Olympiad to find scientific and researcher’s talent of student. This exam is to empower young minds and help them to analyze their logical thinking, critical problem-solving skills and scientific ability.

Examination Pattern
The question paper consists of four parts:
- Part-1: Scientific Thinking
- Part-2: Physics Reasoning
- Part-3: Real Life Physical Science
- Part-4: Previous Grade Section
Examimation Duration :
60 minutes Scientific Thinking : Series Completion and Inserting the Missing Character, Direction Sense Test, Alpha Numeric Sequence Puzzle, Logical Sequence of Words, Mathematical Operations, Mirror Images and Water Images, Embedded Figures, Figure Formation, Construction of Squares, Grouping of Identical Figures, Paper Folding and Paper Cutting.
Physics Reasoning : Units and Measurements, Motion in a Straight Line, Motion in a Plane, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, System of Particles and Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Mechanical Properties of Solids, Mechanical Properties of Fluids, Thermal Properties of Matter, etc.

Physics Reasoning : Electric Charges and Fields, Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance, Current Electricity, Moving Charges and Magnetism, Magnetism and Matter, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Electromagnetic waves, Ray optics and Optical Instruments, Wave Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter, etc.
